MIXING IT UP FOR INDEPENDENCE DAY

You are probably gearing up for the 4th of July right now, buying fireworks, and getting the hotdogs ready, but don’t forget the booze and Unbooze of course! We couldn't resist sharing some amazing cocktail recipes for your Independence Day celebrations. These carefully selected recipes are perfect for the holiday and ideal for summer day drinking. We love a festive cocktail, and these ones are sure to impress.


We've curated a list of cocktails that you could make any time of the year, but they also fit the the theme of your red, white, and blue celebrations. Here are 4 festive cocktail recipes that will have your guests wishing they would have thought of them first:

COCONUT MOJITO

Ingredients:

  • 6 Mint leaves
  • 1 Lime Cut into 6 wedges
  • 1 Tablespoon Simple Syrup
  • 2 Tablespoons Lime Juice You can use fresh squeezed lime juice or ReaLime
  • 6 oz Coconut water
  • 1.5 oz Cream of Coconut
  • 2 oz  White Rum
  • 4 oz Coconut Rum
  • Club Soda
  • Mint sprigs for garnish

How to make:

  1. Muddle the mint leaves, 3 lime wedges and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker, just long enough to release the minty flavor
  2. Add the coconut water, cream of coconut, rum and lime juice to the shaker
  3. Shake to combine
  4. Fill the glasses with ice, then pour in the strained liquid, dividing evenly
  5. Top with club soda and stir
  6. Garnish with lime wedges and more mint leaves

MIXED BERRY FROZEN MARGARITA

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup ice
  • ¾ cup frozen mixed berries
  • 2 oz Tequila
  • 1 oz orange liqueur such as Triple Sec or Cointreau
  • 3 oz margarita mix

How to make:

  1. Add all of the ingredients to the blender
  2. Blend on high until well combined
  3. Pour into margarita glasses and enjoy

JOLLY RANCHER COCKTAIL

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz  Sour Apple Vodka
  • 1 oz Peachtree Schnapps
  • 3 oz Cranberry juice
  • Strawberry for garnish, optional

How to make:

  1. In a shaker half full of ice add the vodka, Peachtree and cranberry juice
  2. Shake for 5 seconds and pour the liquid into a glass filled with ice
  3. Garnish with a strawberry, optional

BLUE HAWAIIAN

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Coconut Rum
  • 1 oz Blue Curacao
  • 2 oz Pineapple Juice
  • 1 Cup Crushed Ice
  • Fresh Pineapple and Maraschino Cherries

How to make:

  1. Combine the first 4 ingredients in a cocktail shaker
  2. Pour ice and drink mixture into a glass
  3. Garnish with pineapple and maraschino cherries if desired
